Full Time Application Architect - Salesforce

Accountabilities
Reporting to the Director IT Solutions Delivery, the Application Architect – Salesforce will be responsible for the following:
• Serves as a trusted Salesforce advisor to the organization, providing technical direction based on business requirements and Salesforce best practices.
• Provide thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote a best of breed culture.
• Work closely with Project Mangers, Business Analysis and directly with business leaders and users, to architect technology solutions to meet the business needs.
• Works closely with subject matter experts to understand business needs/requirements and develop specifications for development projects to meet business objectives.
• Lead Salesforce solution design, documentation, development, and implementation.
• Responsible for matching business process and automation requirements to the capabilities of Salesforce, including App Exchange managed and unmanaged package offerings, standards, and processes.
• Understand Salesforce projects and how they tie to organizational strategy and need.
• Continually educate yourself to stay current on Salesforce and other relevant technology.
• Responsible for release management and backlog planning.
• Mentors more junior Salesforce team members.
• Design, develop and maintain custom applications in Salesforce.com, utilizing APEX, Visualforce Lightning Components/Framework, SOQL and SOSL.
• Design and maintain object models, workflows, approval processes, reports and dashboards.
• Integrate with other systems/platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, 3rd party tools and Data Loaders.
• Performs unit testing of custom development.

Qualifications
• 8+ years relevant Salesforce experience providing solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• 3+ years of experience as Salesforce architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Deep experience architecting and developing Salesforce.com commercial business applications as part of a collaborative team using: Apex APIs, Apex triggers, Apex classes, Lightning Aura and Web components, Visualforce, declarative development, SOQL and Salesforce.com App Exchange.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP API’s as well as MuleSoft integration experience.
• Ability to lead solution and design of the Salesforce platform and identify gaps between current and future state.
• Ability to identify potential risks and to develop mitigation plans and support the change management efforts.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration and platform capabilities. Experience in Sales, Service, Marketing and Community clouds required.
• Good logical reasoning and synthesis skills, good communication and commitment to results of the work.
• Knowledge of web applications, databases, program languages and data management.
• Ability to research solution, assess options and formulate proposals for ways to solve requests from business partners.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate with fellow employees, management, and the entire client community in a professional manner, at all times.
• Salesforce.com Technical, Application and System Architect certifications preferred.
